During a mission in Bosnia, Special Service Agent Michael Bishop gets seriously injured and all of the hostages he had to rescue were killed. After this Bishop was dishonorable removed from the army and now works as a bodyguard. He just started a new job for the arms dealer Trent, when this man gets shot at an airport arrival and shortly after his wife as well. In search of the assassin Bishop meets his former antagonist Sherwood and with the help of FBI agent Castle (Carrie-Anne Moss) he reveals a conspiration in which his former chiefs are involved.
