Naturalist Grégoire de Fronsac is sent to the French region "Gevaudan" to clear up the unbelievable death of several children and women and to make a drawing of the killer which is supposed to be a giant wolf. He is accompanied by the Mohawk Indian Mani, who gives the important hints to find the monster thanks to his sensible perception and his down to earth personality. During the search they soon learn that there is much more cooking behind than just the attacks of a "Monster". The story is based in parts on a legend. Between 1764 and 1767 more than 200 bodies were found that were brutally killed. We also recommend to have a
look at the official
French Pacte des Loups page.
Soundtrack is available at amazon.co.uk as well as at amazon.com ( Soundtrack link at amazon.com) An absolutely amazing movie. Mark Dacascos could show his various talents - perfect acting - he even spoke his text in French himself - impressive fight scenes. Mark's portraying of Mani got a lot of good critics!!! * Here you can find a little
help with the French text of the movie. A very good friend wrote down
the whole text of the movie in French and we translated it into English.
You can have a look at both
scripts here.
here you get to the screenshots
